I found it! Remember the lost cord that connects my camera to my computer? It has been found. I knew what my dear dad would have said if he were here – his advice would have been right. He would have told me that I would find it right where left it! And that’s exactly what happened but I don’t have a clue how it ended up where I found it! I have been sorting and organizing things over the past few weeks and never in my wildest imagination would I have looked for it there. Not in a million years. As I was repacking a box of indoor Christmas lights I found it intertwined with one of the strings of twinkle lights. I think I know what happened. About the time we unpacked the Christmas decorations and lights we were putting things back in place after the installation of our new carpet. Somewhere in the middle of it all that silly cord must have joined the lights that I wasn’t using this year. I replaced the cord with a card reader but I’m glad that the mystery has been solved. I can rest peacefully and sleep now that I’ve checked that one off my list of things to think about in the middle of the night!
On another note, I’m really busy around my house. I’m puttering and fluffing and foofifying things - getting ready for a special friend to visit in a week. I’m having fun doing things done that need to be done – singing while I work. My friend won’t be here long. It’s going to be a short – but fun – visit and I can’t wait to share it with you. I’ll tell you more soon.
Today I’m getting a haircut. What’s so special about that? Well, you may remember what I shared here about the big changes in my life. I told you about my weight loss and more about the plan I’m following here. I’ve lost more weight since then and now it’s time for another big change. My hair is being ‘made over’ today – I’m going from the longer length I’ve been wearing for the last months to a new, shorter ‘do’. I’ll have my sweetheart take a new photo to share with you soon.
Change seems to be in the air around here. Signs of Spring are all around us. Flowers and plants are peeking up through the ground and, if we look closely, we can see the promise of the coming season. The sun peeked through the other day and I worked in my garden for the first time since last fall. And I found myself singing a song that I love.
Thank God for the promise of Springtime
Once again my heart will sing
There's a brand new day that is dawning
Thank God for the promise of spring
Song: ‘Thank God For The Promise Of Springtime’
Words and music by Bill and Gloria Gaither
Glad the mystery has been solved!! I can't wait to see you in your new hair style. I know it is going to be wonderful!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Penny
Oh good! I love finding things that I have misplaced. Looking forward to seeing your new haircut.
ReplyDeleteAdrienne, I am so excited for you - and I can hardly wait to see your new do.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you have the Spring fever. Blessings
ReplyDeleteHooray for finding your camera cord! It just drives me crazy when I misplace something like that. How fun to get a new look. You will show us won't you? I adore your snowdrops. I must remember to find some to plant next fall:>)
ReplyDeleteThe lost is found! That's always a good thing. I'm getting a haircut next week but mine is always short so it won't be new, but it will be welcome. My daffodils are beginning to peek through the dirt despite the fact that we're supposed to get a severe temperature drop tomorrow. I hope they survive it but they are hardy, thank goodness. blessings, marlene
ReplyDeleteSnowdrops! Ah, we are all so anxious for spring after this terrible winter!
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to seeing your new "do", LOL. And glad you found the cord. I'm not even sure where mine is! I just use a card reader!
Camera Cords are good things. Looking forward to see your new hair... I have been thinking of a change but do not know what to change.

ReplyDeleteI hardly recognized your new blog design! Looks great! I've been sitting here browsing through, catching up a bit!
Can't wait to see the "new do, and new you!"
I'm going to try to get motivated and post something, maybe tomorrow night!

ReplyDeleteLost and Found - great when we finally 'find' something. Over a year ago a knob disappeared from a drawer of our sideboard. Searched the house - nothing.Grandson knew nothing! Looked occasionally over the year.
Last week I walked into my sitting room and there in front of me was said knob. A mystery. Did it get pulled our of somewhere with something else then dropped/ Will never know.
Blessings Adrienne.
