Something New
At times it's hard to stay focused and do what I'm supposed to do. Hard to keep priorities straight and be sensible. That's what's happening to me. For several months I have planned to buy a new camera. I have emailed some of you to see what you use to take such beautiful photos. Your gracious responses have been appreciated. Lots of research online and visits to several camera stores have given me the knowledge I lacked to make the decision. Finally - at last - I have a new camera. I chose the new Olympus E-520. Good choice. It's wonderful! I really wanted to move from my little, old point and shoot camera to a digital single lens reflex so I could put my basic photography class knowledge into practice. It was a hard decision but I'm happy with my choice. And I'm starting to have fun with it. There is so much more to learn. I've only begun. Some pictures have been great - others were quickly deleted. Some of my favorites were taken around my home and garden. The moon over nearby trees. . .An old-fashioned rose in bloom. . .One of my gorgeous hydrangeas. . .A Tiger Lily just open. . .And a busy bee on a nearby bloom.Roses, my favorite flower, add beauty to my garden. Yesterday a delicate rosebud . . .Is in full bloom today.I wish you could smell the fragrance.Miss Savannah isn't thrilled to see my camera pointed her direction. At first she was curious. Now she's tolerating my enthusiasm. My favorite picture so far was an unplanned, spur-of-the-moment, candid shot. My sweetheart! This one is a keeper. My sweetheart - and the photo!

Awww, your sweetheart is a cutie! Have fun with your new toy:>) I didn't give two hoots about photography until I started my blog, now I don't know what I would do if I couldn't take photos. I need some classes to get better and know how to handle the real deal of a camera that is more than a point and shoot before I invest in one though.
