New Year's Eve Thoughts

New Year's Eve! The last day of the year. How did it get here so quickly? It seems we celebrated the beginning of 2007 just a few days ago. I wish for you a wonderful day today and a great celebration of the evening - whatever that may be. My sweetheart and I will have a quiet celebration at home together. My dear mother will be here for part of the evening and will - hopefully - be snuggled safely in her bed when the new year begins. Wherever you are, whatever you do, may you have a safe and peaceful New Year's Eve.

Frances Ridley Havergal, a favorite classic Christian writer - the writer of many well-loved hymns wrote this reminder.

God will never fail us,
He will not forsake;
His eternal covenant
He will never break,
Resting on His promise,
What have we to fear?
God is all-sufficient for the coming year.

  2. Hi Adrienne,
    Thanks for stopping by to see me, sorry I missed you, I was in the shower! The bedding is from Horchow.com and also from williamsburgmarketplace.com - two of my favorite sites. They are pricey so brace yourself, but you can tell they are exceptional quality too. Happy decorating - can't wait to see how your project turns out. Happy New Years and Cheers!

  3. OH, I LIKE THIS! I couldn't sleep this morning and came by to catch up on blog reading. It has been an extremely challenging year for us and we are looking forward to 2008—eight being the number of "new beginnings!" We have much to recover from, but God owns the cattle on a thousand hills! I asked my 7-year old son to remember one thing our Pastor said in a recent church service. He came home and preached that one thing: "God is richer than our debt!"

    HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU! Thanks for all of your encouragement!
